The class is presented in a structured, hands-on format in the MBA computer lab, ensuring participants fully understand the fundamentals of Microsoft Power BI.
Course Highlights
The class covers the following topics:
- Getting Started: learn useful components of Microsoft Power BI, like how to work with Power BI files, connect to different data sources, create reports, and work with visualizations.
- Working with Data: discover how to transform and sanitize data, use the query editor, model data, and manage relationships.
- Using Reports: practice managing report pages, changing report view options, working with visualizations, and adding static objects to a report.
- Managing Visualizations: create and manage visualizations with Matrixes, Tables, Charts, Maps, Gauges, Cards, KPIs, and Slicers.
- Intro to the Power BI Web App: access a quick guide to the Power BI web app, which includes how to connect data sources and use a variety of Power BI app features.
