About Gus Pine:

Gus Pine is the Executive Director of Erie Events, bringing more than 20 years of experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry. Since stepping into the role in early 2023, he has led efforts focused on growth, community impact, and the continued revitalization of Erie’s downtown and bayfront areas. Gus oversees several of the region’s premier venues, including Warner Theatre, Erie Insurance Arena, Bayfront Convention Center, and UPMC Park.

A graduate of University of Virginia, Gus is committed to enhancing quality of life in Northwest Pennsylvania through world-class entertainment, strategic partnerships, and economic development initiatives. Under his leadership, Erie Events is currently advancing projects representing more than $25 million in investment along Erie’s bayfront.

Beyond his professional responsibilities, Gus is actively involved in the community and serves on several regional boards and organizations, including Visit Erie, Erie Regional Chamber & Growth Partnership, Erie Rotary, Fly Erie Fund, and the Erie City Mission Ambassador Board. He also serves as a Regional Director for the International Association of Venue Managers.

A resident of Fairview Township, Gus and his wife are proud parents of two daughters. He remains passionate about helping position Erie as a premier destination to live, work, and visit.
