September’s Executive Speaker Series – United Way
Building Tomorrow’s Workforce
Discover how education, industry, and community are working together to prepare the next generation of skilled professionals.
This inspiring presentation highlights Erie High School’s Career and Technical Education (CTE) Program and the partnerships creating meaningful pathways for students. The session will begin with opening remarks from Dr. Natalyn Gibbs, CEO/Superintendent of Erie’s Public Schools, followed by a look at the longstanding collaboration between Erie High, The Warren Company, and Seaway Manufacturing Corporation, where students gain valuable real-world experience through cooperative education opportunities that prepare them for high-demand careers.
You’ll also explore the role of United Way Community Schools and how they address non-academic barriers to ensure CTE students have the support, resources, and opportunities both in the classroom and workplace.
You’ll see firsthand how Erie High graduates leave with industry-recognized certifications, hands-on experience, and the confidence to enter the workforce or continue their education.
