The MBA’s 120th Annual Event Featuring Dana Perino is Sold Out

Dana PerinoERIE – The Manufacturer & Business Association (The MBA) has announced that its 120th Annual Event, featuring keynote speaker Dana Perino, former White House press secretary, political commentator and New York Times bestselling author, is sold out. A waitlist is available for individual tickets only. The event will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, October 8, at the Bayfront Convention Center, 1 Sassafras Pier. All media are invited to attend.

“Each year, the MBA’s Annual Event is one of the most sought-after opportunities for business networking, and this year is no exception,” said MBA President and Chief Executive Officer Lori Joint. “The reception to Dana Perino as our keynote speaker has been nothing short of amazing. Her highly anticipated presentation, ‘Resilient Leadership in Divided Times,’ will give our members strategies for navigating conflict with empathy, fostering productive dialogue and building consensus — a powerful message for those in business today.”

Perino is currently co-anchor for America’s Newsroom with Bill Hemmer & Dana Perino and co-host of the hit show The Five, both on the Fox News Channel. The Five has won its time slot every day since it started in July 2011 and has been named the fourth most-watched program in all of cable. Viewers often call Perino “The Voice of Reason” of The Five’s ensemble cast. She also appears as a political commentator on other Fox programs and previously served as anchor of The Daily Briefing with Dana Perino.

Before joining Fox, Perino served as the first Republican woman to be press secretary of the United States. She spent more than seven years as part of the administration of President George W. Bush, joining right after the 9/11 attacks as a spokesperson for the Justice Department.

Since leaving the White House, Perino became a bestselling author of And the Good News Is… Lessons and Advice from the Bright Side, Let Me Tell You about Jasper … How My Best Friend Became America’s Dog, and Everything Will Be Okay: Life Lessons for Young Women (from a Former Young Woman). Her newest book, I Wish Someone Had Told Me, is rising on the bestseller list. Currently, Perino hosts the podcast Everything Will Be Okay for Fox News Radio.

In addition to Perino’s keynote address, the Annual Event will feature combat veteran Maxine Reyes singing the National Anthem. The MBA also will recognize the many achievements and people who have contributed to its 120 years of continuous operation.

A sellout each year, The MBA’s Annual Event is the tri-state region’s premier business networking event, featuring the nation’s most prominent figures in business, politics and journalism. Some of the MBA’s past speakers: “Moneyball” inspiration Billy Beane, American hero Ambassador “Sully” Sullenberger, Ret. Navy Admiral William McRaven, “Shark Tank” stars Daymond John and Robert Herjavec, legendary coach Lou Holtz, and former Presidents George W. Bush and George H.W. Bush.

Annual Event sponsors include Ridg-U-Rak, UPMC Health Plan, Logistics Plus, PNC, Howard Industries, MacDonald Illig Attorneys, LECOM, Greenleaf Corporation, Parker Lord Corporation, McInnes Rolled Rings, Insurance Management Company, Bonnell’s Truck & RV Collision, Inc. and Widget Financial.
