The MBA to Host Women in Leadership: Mix, Mingle & Mocha on July 9 in Cranberry Township

PA State Treasurer Stacy Garrity - Keynote Speaker for Women in Leadership 2025Cranberry Township — The Manufacturer & Business Association (The MBA) will host its second annual Women in Leadership: Mix, Mingle & Mocha event, featuring Pennsylvania Treasurer Stacy Garrity, from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at the MBA Pittsburgh Office, located at the Regional Learning Alliance (RLA) Learning & Conference Center, 850 Cranberry Woods Drive. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. All media are invited to attend.

“Treasurer Garrity was a fantastic speaker at our Women in Leadership IMPACT Luncheon held in Erie in March, and we can’t wait for her to address our members and guests now in the Pittsburgh area,” said MBA President and CEO Lori Joint. “Mix, Mingle & Mocha combines great coffee with great conversation, and we are proud to provide dynamic leadership and networking opportunities like this to employers across the region.”

As Pennsylvania’s state treasurer, businesswoman and retired U.S. Army Reserve colonel, Garrity is focused on transparency, cutting waste and fees, returning more than $4.5 billion in unclaimed property to its rightful owners, and making education affordable for Pennsylvanians.

In the Army Reserve, she served three overseas deployments. As a businesswoman, she worked as one of the first two female vice-presidents at Global Tungsten & Powders in Towanda, the largest tungsten smelter in the western world.

Treasurer Garrity is a fiscal watchdog, protecting more than $160 billion in state assets, returning more than $750 million worth of unclaimed property to the rightful owners, and managing the PA 529 College & Career Savings Program, the PA ABLE Savings Program, and the INVEST program for local government agencies and nonprofits. She has cut fees for both PA 529 and PA ABLE, saving account owners more than $16.5 million.

Cost for the event is $20 for MBA members and $30 for nonmembers.
