ERIE – The Manufacturer & Business Association (The MBA) will host “Leading Higher Education: A University Presidents Panel,” during its upcoming Executive Speaker Series at 8 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. All media are invited to attend.
The one-hour program will feature a moderated panel of four local university leaders, including: Walter Iwanenko, Ph.D., president of Gannon University, Ralph Ford, Ph.D., chancellor and dean of Penn State Behrend, Ron Cole, Ph.D., president of Allegheny College; and, Jon Anderson, Ph.D., M.Ed., president of PennWest University.
“Higher education plays a critical role in workforce development and as an economic driver for our community,” said Association President and CEO Lori Joint. “We look forward to hearing from our panelists on the state of higher education today, their leadership strategies for navigating change and how they plan to drive ongoing success.”
The MBA’s Executive Speaker Series, a new program for 2025, features various presidents and CEOs from regional companies in a variety of industries. The postponed “Fueling Growth: A Leadership Conversation with Country Fair and United Refining Executive” will be held November 13.
