The Manufacturer & Business Association’s (The MBA) next Executive Speaker Series will feature Erie Events Executive Director Gus Pine at 8 a.m. Tuesday, August 4, at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. All media are invited to attend.

“Erie Events is the hub of Erie’s entertainment and cultural district, hosting the region’s biggest concerts, family shows and sporting events. We are excited to hear firsthand what is happening behind the scenes, what’s ahead for this dynamic organization and its venues, and to gain valuable leadership perspectives on the opportunities and challenges involved in guiding one of our region’s most visible and impactful organizations,” said MBA President and CEO Lori Joint.

Since stepping into the executive director’s role in early 2023, Pine has led efforts focused on growth, community impact, and the continued revitalization of Erie’s downtown and bayfront areas. During The MBA’s one-hour program, he will provide updates on Erie Events, trends shaping the future, as well as challenges and opportunities facing the business community. He also will discuss leadership strategies for navigating change and driving success.

Erie Events manages several of the region’s premier venues, including the Warner Theatre, Erie Insurance Arena, Bayfront Convention Center, UPMC Park and Rebich Investments Amphitheater. In March 2026, it also began a historic partnership with the Erie Zoo.
