The Manufacturer & Business Association (The MBA) will host its inaugural Next Gen Connect: “Building Connections That Move Your Forward” event from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at The MBA Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. All media are invited to attend.
“We know that for many young professionals and emerging leaders, some of the most challenging parts of career growth aren’t technical skills — they’re speaking up in meetings, networking with confidence and building the professional relationships that open doors to new opportunities,” explained MBA President and CEO Lori Joint. “That’s exactly why Next Gen Connect was created. This interactive breakfast session is designed to be a welcoming, low-pressure environment where emerging professionals, can strengthen those relationship-building skills, connect with peers across our business community and gain practical tools that can be used immediately.”
The experience features a dedicated presentation by MBA instructor Andrea Bierer on communicating in the workplace to create those connections, followed by an activity — facilitated by MBA Next Gen Advisory Board members — that helps attendees grow their confidence in professional settings.
