ERIE – The Manufacturer & Business Association (The MBA) will host “Fueling Growth: A Leadership Conversation with Country Fair and United Refining Executives,” during its upcoming Executive Speaker Series at 8 a.m. Thursday, November 13, at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m. All media are invited to attend.
The one-hour program will feature Paul Rankin, vice president of Retail Marketing, United Refining Company, and Steve Seymour, director of Personnel, Training & Development for Country Fair, who will share their insights into the trends, challenges and opportunities impacting the region. Steve is author of “100 Ideas to Improve the Workplace: An HR Nerd’s Guide to Creating Excellent Culture”. He is passionate about creating a positive work culture that improves employee morale and retention. He will discuss how to create a Winning Team and keep them in your organization by creating the work culture you want. They also will offer perspectives that inspire and guide the business community.
“This year is the 60th anniversary of Country Fair, and we look forward to hearing more about their leadership strategies for navigating change and driving ongoing success,” said Association President and CEO Lori Joint.
Country Fair is a division of the United Refining and operates more than 70 convenience stores in the tri-state area. The company opened its first location in Erie in 1965.
The MBA’s Executive Speaker Series features various presidents and CEOs from regional companies in a variety of industries. The November 13 program was rescheduled from June.
