ERIE - The Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA) will host a free luncheon and panel discussion, featuring Pittsburgh Works Together on how to move our economy and industries forward for the benefit of all, from noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the MBA Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m. All media are invited to attend.
Moderated by MBA Vice President Jezree Friend, the four-person panel will address the importance of labor and corporate cooperation in growing the regional and state economies and what Pennsylvania needs to know to become competitive versus surrounding and other Midwest and Northeast states.
“Pittsburgh Works is very unique as they are comprised of and promote policy in the best interests of both union labor and business,” said Friend. “It is a big deal to get the President of Peoples Gas and the executive business manager of the trades together for this high level panel. Every business owner from every industry has a stake in Pennsylvania’s future and is encouraged to attend.”
Among the panelists are: Jeffrey Nobers, executive director of the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania and Pittsburgh Works Together; Mike Colpoys, senior vice president of National Fuel Gas Distribution Corporation; Gregory Bernarding, executive business manager of the Pittsburgh Regional Building and Construction Trades; and Michael Huwar, president of the Peoples division of Essential Utilities, Inc.
The event is sponsored by Pittsburgh Works Together and National Fuel.
