MBA to Host Women in Leadership IMPACT Luncheon on April 7 in Erie
Sarah A. Reed Children's Center CEO to Focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in Today's Work World
ERIE – The Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA), in conjunction with the MBA Business Magazine, will hold its annual Women in Leadership IMPACT Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. (registration at 11:45 a.m.) Thursday, April 7, at the Manufacturer & Business Association Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. All media are invited to attend.
Attendees — both in person and virtually — will hear from keynote speaker Adrienne Dixon, Ph.D., on “Women in Leadership — Empowering Yourself and Your Teams Through Diversity, Equity and Inclusion.” Dixon is the president and chief executive officer of Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center, which is marking its 150th year and is one of the oldest and largest providers of mental and behavioral health in the Erie region.
As the head of Sarah A. Reed Children’s Center, Dixon is dedicated to improving the mental health and well-being for all people, especially for children and families. She is also committed to promoting diversity, inclusion and health equity, and creating transformative systemic and structural change.
Dixon has more than 30 years of clinical experience as a professional counselor, educator and administrator, and she serves as the program head and associate professor for the counseling program at Edinboro University. She holds a master’s degree in counseling, a post master's certificate in marital and family therapy, and a Ph.D. in counseling psychology.
The 2022 Women in Leadership IMPACT event is sponsored by Northwest Bank and Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield.
