2020 Economic Outlook, Impact of Shell Cracker Plant Focus of MBA’s December 12 Luncheon
ERIE – The 2020 economic forecast and the impact of the Shell ethane cracker plant on our region will be discussed at the Manufacturer & Business Association’s (MBA) upcoming IMPACT Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, December 12, at the Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA) Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. During this special event, local economist Ken Louie, Ph.D., director of the Economic Research Institute of Erie (ERIE) and associate professor of economics in the Black School of Business at Penn State Behrend, will discuss the real facts, figures and trends behind the economic outlook for 2020. He will be joined by Amy Bridger, senior director Corporate Strategy & External Engagement at Penn State Behrend, who will discuss the nature and scope of the new Shell ethane cracker in Beaver County, as well as its broad economic impact on the region.
The December IMPACT Luncheon is presented by the Manufacturer & Business Association, MBA Business Magazine, along with Barnhart Transportation, the Economic Research Institute of Erie (ERIE) and Penn State Behrend.
