Effective Strategies to Manage Workplace Stress To Be Focus of MBA’s August 8 IMPACT Luncheon
ERIE — The Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA) will tackle the topic of workplace stress as part of its upcoming IMPACT Luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, August 8, at the MBA Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street. All media are invited to attend.
During this special event, local experts Steve Krivonak from the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) of Erie County and Keith Eller of UPMC WorkPartners will discuss how to effectively manage workplace stress, maximize local resources and create a positive work culture.
According to experts, workplace stress has been a growing issue for employers, costing companies an estimated $300 billion a year in health-care costs, reduced productivity and excessive absenteeism. In fact, numerous studies show that job stress is far and away the major source of stress for American adults and that it has escalated progressively over the past few decades.
“This presentation will give participants a better idea of how to identify and manage stress in the workplace and create a healthier, more productive work culture,” said MBA President John Krahe. “We believe it is a discussion that everyone — both employers and employees — can benefit from.”
The August IMPACT Luncheon is presented by the Manufacturer & Business Association, MBA Business Magazine, along with UPMC WorkPartners and the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Erie County.
