ERIE – The Manufacturer & Business Association (MBA) will host its 11th annual HR Conference on Wednesday, November 8, at the Bayfront Convention Center, 1 Sassafras Pier. The daylong event brings together one of the largest HR audiences in the region — both in person and online. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Program ends at 4 p.m. All media are invited to attend.
The conference kicks off with the morning keynote address by Meghan Kinter, Ph.D., senior director of Strategy & Business Development at the Achievement Center of LECOM Health, who’ll detail why “Mindset Matters: Coaching your workforce to grow forward.” Her presentation will be followed by employment law updates with The Knox Law firm, and a special legal brief on the impact of “Artificial Intelligence in HR” by Steptoe & Johnson PLLC. AHN Occupational Health will provide some “good vibes” wellness advice, followed by the MBA’s first HR Person of the Year Award presentation. Final keynote speaker of the day is Andrew Tarvin, founder and CEO of Humor That Works, who will share, “The Missing Link,” an idea-generating, spirit-lifting presentation that is needed now more than ever in today’s stressed work environments.
"I think this year’s HR Conference could be one of our best ones yet – from the fantastic lineup of expert speakers, high-caliber vendors, networking opportunities, delicious food and awesome prizes – this is the perfect gathering for people who manage people at all levels of an organization! We owe a big thank you to all our sponsors, especially our premier HR conference sponsor, ECCA," said Tammy Polanski, director of Marketing at the MBA. "Since its founding in 1975, ECCA Payroll+ has been committed to solving the HR challenges for companies of all sizes, and we are so grateful for ECCA's continued support and partnership in making this the best HR conference in the tri-state region!”
