ERIE – The MBA (Manufacturer & Business Association) will host its third annual Leadership Summit, focused on the future of artificial intelligence (AI) in business, from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at the MBA Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street and Pittsburgh Avenue. All media are invited to attend.
“The MBA is committed to programs that add value to our members,” says MBA President and CEO Lori Joint. “Our 2025 summit will provide business leaders with a unique perspective on how to use AI to streamline operations and drive success. Instead of algorithms and models, the presentations will be based on real-world business examples that can be beneficial to all attendees regardless of industry.”
Andrea Bierer, an MBA instructor and marketing director for DBC Remodeling & Construction, will kick off the event with an engaging overview of AI’s impact on business and the fundamentals of AI.
Next, a panel of industry experts will address the practical AI applications for business, including case studies and examples. Panelists include: Erin Kerner, founder and CEO of Eventio; Tom Laird, CEO of Expivia Interaction Marketing / OttoQa; Dr. Pulin Agrawal, an AI researcher and engineer at Penn State Behrend; and, Kyle Chalupczynski, professor of Management Information Systems at Penn State Behrend
Then, Jonathan Marsh, CEO of Steel Toe Consulting, LLC, will address how to leverage AI for data-driven decisions, including the 6-Step BizML Framework for AI project development. He will be followed by Matt Blackburn, senior manager of Government Affairs for Aurora, who will delve into the topic of AI and workforce transformation, exploring how to prepare the workforce for an AI-driven future by focusing on reskilling, upskilling and building a culture that embraces AI.
The program will end with a presentation by Christopher Mansour, founding member and chair of Computing Information Science at Mercyhurst University. Mansour will discuss ethical AI, risk management and security, covering such topics as responsible AI use, cybersecurity and data privacy.
