The MBA to Host Economic Outlook IMPACT Luncheon on December 4

ERIE — Two of the region’s top economic experts will discuss key economic trends, forecasts and potential opportunities and challenges for employers 2026, during the Manufacturer & Business Association’s (The MBA) annual Economic Outlook IMPACT Luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, December 4, at the Association’s Conference Center, 2171 West 38th Street in Erie. Registration begins at 11:45 a.m. All media are invited to attend.

The discussion will focus on the leading economic indicators for local, regional, national and global economies — and how employers could be affected in the year ahead.

Presenter Ken Louie, Ph.D. is the director of the Economic Research Institute of Erie (ERIE) and an associate professor of economics at Penn State Behrend. He is regularly sought out by the news media for his commentary on the regional economy, as well as international trade and finance, labor economics and economic development. He received the Penn State Behrend Council of Fellows Award for Excellence in Teaching and was a Fulbright Lecturer in the People’s Republic of China in 1998.

Presenter Brian Pietrangelo, MBA, CIMA®, AIF®, is senior vice president and managing director of Investment Strategy at Key Private Bank. He works to support sound investment strategies for private and institutional clients and is a member of Key Private Bank’s Investment Strategy and Oversight Committee, Asset Allocation Committee and Portfolio Strategy Committee. He has more than 30 years of experience in many areas of the investment business and has been quoted in Barron’s, CBS MarketWatch, cnbc.com and other local publications.

Pietrangelo earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from Miami University (Ohio) and his MBA from the University of Dayton. He also attended the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Executive Education program and holds both Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designations as well as previously holding the FINRA Series 7 license.

This year’s Economic Outlook IMPACT Luncheon, which is sponsored by KeyBank, E.E. Austin & Son, Inc. and Ehrman’s Allburn Florists, is presented by The MBA, MBA Business Magazine, the Economic Research Institute of Erie at Penn State Behrend and KeyBank.

Cost is $40 for members and $70 for nonmembers. Lunch is included.
